The expressionist Dockland rises up 40 m above the Elbe like the hull of a ship. A plot between the Fischereihafen and Elbe was filled in specifically to accommodate the parallelogram-shaped structure. Glass, steel and transparency are the prime characteristics of this exclusive office building, which was awarded the German Steel Structure Prize in 2006 for its bold and graceful design. In the equipment concept particular attention was paid to hygienic operation and economic operating costs of the humidification.
