Hospital de Puerta de Hierro, Madrid / Spain

This new macro-hospital with about 700 beds is located in the west of Madrid in the district of Majadahonda. A comprehensive health service will be provided here for around 540'000 Madrileños from the end of 2007/early 2008. At a cost of about EUR 240 million, it is the most important project in the Commune of Madrid’s health plans.
Thanks to the persistent efforts of our representative Hanseata, Axair units finally won this hard contested project. A total of 99 Condair CP2 units, with steam capacities ranging from 5 to 162 kg/h, and M3 and REL (Successor product since 1.7.2007 Condair CP3) modules are utilised for air conditioning of a variety of rooms, including laboratories, operating theatres, observation and patient rooms, etc. Our CP2 units make an important contribution when it comes to meeting the strict requirements governing air conditioning in the hospital. Steam humidifying protects electrical and electronic equipment in operating theatres from electrostatic charging, and hygienic aspects are also addressed. Moreover, the optimum air quality contributes greatly to the feeling of wellbeing and the health of both staff and patients.
This reference installation strengthens our market position in Spain as a leading provider of humidifying systems.
