The Axel-Springer-Haus, which was built on the sector border line in Berlin between 1959 and 1966, was once literally located at the end of the Free World. Newspapers such as the Berliner Morgenpost, Die Welt, Bild Berlin and the magazine Maxim are produced here today on Potsdamer Platz. The new building (which once housed the printing works) became the Springer Passage commercial premises in 2004, with offices, shops, cafés and restaurants and a medical centre.
